how to lock down XP Pro icons on desktop - using Magnifier changes order of icons?
the Accessory, Magnifier is very handy to see small print on my screen - but it rearranges all my XP Pro icons - I have tried Lock Web Icons on Desktop, and all other options on the desktop icons choices
Use Right Click on Desktop and choose Arrange Icons By: Align to Grid,Show Desctop Icons, Lock Web Items on Desktop.
After switching Magnifier Drag it with mouse and put it somewhere else.
Explanation : Magnifier open new window on top of Desktop, which move down all Desktop - not only icons on it. So when you make magnifier floating over by dragging it with mouse and moving to new position this solve icons moving.
N.B. Are you sure that, for example, changing Desktop font size to 120 dpi or better, is not better solution for everyday use?
